I ve already controled the upload traffic by using IP range(for group), but controlling downloading is a big problem for me.
So when i decided to control the download traffic for single user and reached to 60th rule , nothing happened just sequence no is displayed there( in classifier). While setting download limit for next host, squence no does not change.
here is my server info:-
Server Dell Power Edge(1300)
CPU 800*2 MHz
I ve checked both QoS & firewall rules and it does not support more than 60 rules. Basically i want to implement Squid(delay_pool class 2) like policies by using QoS.
I ve more than 100 hosts, here is my setup info
Total Bandwidth 2MB
192.168.10.11-192.168.10.50 (1MB) 64kbps/host
192.168.10.51-192.168.10.100 (768kbps) 48kbps/host
192.168.10.101-192.168.10.125 (256kbps) 32kbps/host
Thanks a lot.
Thank u for ur kind support. Now i want to control the per MAC (up & down) bandwidth. should i configure the zeroshell as a bridge? Which interface i will use for this so that i should be able to control the bandwidth.
i ve tried as u sugessted but did not succeed. Here is my firewall policy
>>> DROP (default chain)
then i added the following rule to the FORWARD chain
ACCEPT all opt — in * out * 192.168.10.9 -> 0.0.0.0/0 MAC
after saving no packet is forwarded.
Thanks u for your quick respond. Is there any firewall policy that if some changes it IP address zeroshell stops responding them?
