    Hello,

First I just want to comment that Zeroshell is an excellent product.

Here, is my issue , I have been trying to install zeroshell on a VMWare ESX 3.5 server and it seems that after I created a new partition as ext3 and activate a new profile, zeroshell will reboot and then the screen will sit there with just a cursor. I have tried to import it, vmconvert , change it from LSI to Bus logic etc and still will not boot.

Note that I have no problem running it in a VMWare workstation.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated
    Thanks

The latest release is able to boot from IDE, SATA and USB devices. The SCSI devices can be used to store the profiles. Can VMWare ESX 3.5 use an ISO image to boot the system?

    Thanks for the tip.

This is what I have to do.

Change the SCSI Controller from LSI Logic to Bus Logic else you won’t be able format the partition. Create a new profile and activate. Zeroshell will reboot. When you see the Vmware logo hit the ESC key and select boot from CD which contains the Zeroshell ISO.

Hopefully this will help someone when they try to install on an ESX server
