    Hello

I have just bought Asus USB-N13 USB-wifi. I did buy it specifically since it is supposed wto work in Linux! If I plug it in, I get in log:

But I don’t see anything in Zeroshell web interface. I restarted my Zeroshell router, still no change!

Is there any simple way to get this USB-WIFI working? Or what would be readily available USB WIFI dongle, that works with Zeroshell?

I don’t want to use it as a repeater, I want to connect to my 4G WIFI pocket router Huawei e5577, as a backup connection. Can’t use 4G USB dongle, Zeroshell does not support it!

You need to setup your wifi from command line.
There is no wifi web interface yet.

I have now tested several USB WIFI cards. Only one of them worked under zeroshell and there only partially. Worked only as open system, no possible with WPA2.

Other cards were not detected at all.

Please if there is any USB WIFI card, that is sure to work under Zeroshell, let me know!

    Hi,
There are 2 things you might need to address.
    – Kernel needs to see your wifi card
    – host ap might need to be updated.

The other way woud be to get a suorted card in linux. If your card is supported under ubuntu then you have chances to make it work.

I’m also having a problem with my usb wifi device, and it sure IS supported in Linux (Alfa AWUS052NH, works perfectly in Debian with rt2800usb)

It shows up in Wifi-Manager as wlan0 “Unknown Model”, but when press N to to create a New SSID it says:

ERROR: it is not possible to create another SSID on wlan0:
    – The max number of virtual AP is 4.
    – Only one SSID can be set in Station mode and must be
created after the creation of the virtual APs.

(This message comes immediately after pressing N, so it doesn’t even let me choose AP or Client Mode; this even happens when there are no other SSIDs)

What is the problem? I only need client mode – other ways to set this up?
