I just discovered this neat Zeroshell stuff. I have installed a bridged VMware instance of Zeroshell-vmware image. I need feedback on my todo idea:

In office I have my workstation connected to school LAN (x.y.169.82). I would like
to run bridged vmware instance at x.y.169.83 (will have access to school LAN).
Can I use the VPN server in Zeroshell to connect to this vmware instance
from outside (some other ISP: dialup or DSL etc.)?

Is it doable? Also where can I find information about setting up the profile
    for this case?

    Any pointers will be appreciated

Yes, you can use Zeroshell either to act as IPsec/L2TP VPN concentrator or as OpenVPN server. For this type of use a VMWare Virtual server works fine.

For OpenVPN you could read http://www.zeroshell.net/eng/openvpn-server and http://www.zeroshell.net/eng/openvpn-client

For IPSec/L2TP you should read http://digilander.libero.it/smasherdevourer/schede/linux/Zeroshell%20VPN%20Host-to-LAN-EN.pdf
