Hi all¡, long time lurker first time poster.

First off I’d like to give a big thanks to our main man Fulvio for his great work! Thanks in deed!

I’ve been using ZS for failover support for a few weeks now and its working like a charm.

I’m not a network guru, I’m a programmer stuck in a job where I have to program AND run a network…

    Anyway,

I have a lan with about 80 computers, and I have them segmented on the LAN by room/ip segment type deal.

    Reception has ip range 192.168.1.10 – 192.168.1.20
    Classroom1 has ip range 192.168.1.30 – 192.168.1.40
    Classroom2 has ip range 192.168.1.41 – 192.168.1.55
    Classroom3 has ip range 192.168.1.61 – 192.168.1.80

etc, etc, you get the idea…

I’d like to be able to dinamically (i.e. on the fly!!!) change the amount of bandwidth that goes to each IP range…

Is this possible to set up with ZeroShell????

If so, I’d love to know how to do it.

    Thanks to all in advance,

    -Orallo

It can be done. You need to classify the groups of clients in the QoS classifier. Then allocate the desired bandwidth to each class. Finally apply the classes to the internal interface.
