    Hello,

In the guide/example to Traffic Shaping in Transparent Bridge mode, is supposed to have an asymmetric 4/2 Mb line. However, in the classes bandwidth parameters, is assigned the same value for downstream/upstream.

I think would be more “educational” (in order to learn zeroshell configuration) to assign different values to upstream and downstream, having 2 classes for each service (ins’t it?)

    Thanks.
    Michael.

It is not a good idea to have 2 class (upstream and downstream) for the same type of traffic, because if the classifier uses the L7 Filters, it needs to examine the connections in both the directions.
In any case, you can use the Local Parameters from the Interface Manager to customize Priority, Maximum Bandwidth and Guaranteed Bandwith for each interface.

    Yes Fulvio,

Only a class is needed for each service. I had not seen that in “Local Parameters”, upstream/downstream values could be configured.

    thanks
    Michael
