I decided to take 1.0.beta10 for a spin and seem to have things up and running. The system seems to be functional but seems to be extremely slow. The load on the machine seems to be less than 1% but the client PC that I currently have connected can’t seem to view a youtube video for more than 2 seconds without continuously pausing to download more of the clip. If I disable the ethernet card that is currently connected to the zeroshell box and enable wireless instead then the video(s) play ok and download many times faster than the playback rate(s). The wireless router and the zeroshell machine both connect into a port on the 4 port router that is currently connected to the internet. Any ideas?

I was running R10 with reasonable results. However, after a few weeks my connection suddenly got slower.

I am not a normal user as have a full class-c which zeroshell routes for me via a DSL link. When I turned on transparent http proxy the speed suddenly got a lot higher. Turn proxy off and speed reduces.

Repowering my R10 system did not make any change.

I’m not sure if this is a related problem or something to do with upstream ISP.

I have upgraded to R11 and now get full speed in normal – non transparent http proxy mode. This may be coincidence.

I am also if this is a related problem or something to do with upstream ISP. It would be good if you call any networking assistant people. They will give you the best suggestion I believe.
