    Hello everybody,

on my ZS box i have 4 internet connections balanced.

Plenty of special balancing rules are working fine.
Now for a customer i need to reserve one internet connection for a streaming server (upload) and a second connection for email etc.

I tried to solve this with Source-MAC rules for specifying a dedicated gateway and QoS over this outgoing gateway. But there is every time the “red message: iptables: Invalid argument” when i want to add a rule with Source-MAC.

Do you have any idea what is going wrong?

Or is there a better way to reserve hole connections?

Thanks for your help in advance.

    Regards Pit

If you don’t want others to use this/these special connection/s then you have to switch it to “failover” only. Then give the “public” connection a higher weight, so that the others will become inactive. Then add the netbalancer rule to use the inactive “private” connections for specific source IPs.

If the balancer is set to failover are the other lines still balancing?
