i have topology like this one :

    inet — Load Balancing HW (3 pppoe conn) — proxy transparent squid — switch — host client ( router a, b, c, d, e)

where i should place ZS for benwith management ?
should i use route or transparent ZS ?
how about global benwith i should use since there asymetric ?

    thanks for some assistance …

well, assuming a wired network, then there is no need to manage or limit the speed of data coming out of the proxy cache, so i would put zeroshell in between your load balancer and the proxy. I would conf it for bridge mode for the least amount of trouble. you can get some hints on how that works from this guide: http://digidownload.libero.it/smasherdevourer/schede/linux/zeroshellEN.pdf

the tricky part is to identify your traffic patterns and determining your qos classes, as well as classifying them.

    thansk for ur response @lonetorus

i have installed as ur said, transparent bridge beetween my LB hardware and proxy server, also some read on documentation bridge QoS ZS

    inet — LB HW — (eth01) ZS Bridge (QoS) (eth00) — Proxy — Switch

since i have 3 asimetric adsl, each 2 mbps DL, 512 kbps UP
i have set up like this, eth01 QoS global benwith is 6 mbps and eth00 QoS global benwith is 512 kbps, bridge00 is unchecked QoS

is it my QoS config correct ?

    thanks …

Thank you for the topology you had given.
Dont worry I will for that!!
I will research if whats in there and what is really it!!

    Regards!!!

I think you should apply the rules in BRIDGE00 interface rather than ETH00 and ETH01. Either way your upload bw is 1,5Mbps, not 512kbps.

    now im little confuse …

on doc about bridge QoS, no value on bridge iface, value is set on eth01 or eth00. CMIIW or im missing …
if so … when bridge iface used and when no used.

btw … i follow as ur instruction @ppalias
    and see …
    thanks

You are right, I haven’t implemented qos on BRIDGE interface before.
May I suppose you have read this.

    thanks @ppalias for response

meanwhile with bridge QoS there still some glitch for my goal …
i would like to give high priority for cache hit from my proxy and shape for download big file like use with internet download manager etc.

so, i switchh from bridge to router mode
meanwhile my first goal to give cache hit high priority, is achived, i think …
im still lack knowledge with networking stuf, so read, compare and trial error just i can do

    here some screenshoot :
please some advice, with shape for download big size with download accelerator

    cache hit has marked …

    here my QoS :

that best i can do for now
still not yet find for shaping download acelerator
anyone can give some direction …
    thanks

As far as I know download accelerator doesn’t use a specific profile, but downloads whatever you request, e.g http files.
