i’m new user here. also new to ZS. I use ZS Release 1.0.beta13 and this is my setup:
(wifi AP) –> ZS –> (ADSL modem)<-- (my PC) ZS has 2 NIC:
– 192.168.0.75 connected to wifi ap
– 192.168.1.5 connected to modem
the modem has 4 lan port:
– port#1 connected to ZS
– port#2 connected to my PC.
i made connection via modem webadmin. not using pppoe client from ZS.
the problem is i cant connect ZS to internet but my pc can. wifi user also cant connect to internet. I also tried to connect via ZS pppoe but failed. this is the log:
06:20:17 pppd 2.4.3 started by root, uid 0
06:20:17 Using interface ppp0
06:20:17 Connect: ppp0 <--> /dev/pts/1
06:20:48 LCP: timeout sending Config-Requests
06:20:48 Connection terminated.
06:20:48 Using interface ppp0
06:20:48 Connect: ppp0 <--> /dev/pts/2
06:20:53 tcflush failed: Bad file descriptor
after update the modem firmware, I i was successfully connect using ZS pppoe. fyi, my modem is Aztech dsl3100r. now using firmware ver 32.4.4.
wifi user can also access internet now. but the problem now is my PC which directly connect to the modem cant access the internet. is there any way to make ZS use connection from modem? i mean the modem webadmin internal ppp client.
sorry for my poor english.

Have you set the default gateway on zeroshell?July 16, 2010 at 6:30 am #50745
Have you set the default gateway on zeroshell?
yes, I set the modem ip as default gateway which is 192.168.1.1.July 16, 2010 at 7:44 am #50746
can you ping it with the integrated utilities?
Maybe the interaces are inverted?July 16, 2010 at 8:12 am #50747
yes, i can ping 192.168.1.1 from ZS. no problem on that.
it seem like zs cannot resolve ip to domain name.July 16, 2010 at 9:50 am #50748

What was the problem?July 16, 2010 at 3:15 pm #50750
i set eth01 to use dynamic ip and it works.July 16, 2010 at 3:50 pm #50751
Probably your ap has the dhcp enabled.
Does your ap and zs had the same ip?July 17, 2010 at 9:08 am #50752
im talking about the modem, not ap. i set the modem dhcp enabled and then set eth01 that connected to the modem to use dynamic ip.
