    Hi,

Whenever I install to HDD I get the
    GRUB>
    prompt.
This happened after following the recommended tutorial
    http://digilander.libero.it/smasherdevourer/schede/linux/Zeroshell%20su%20HD-EN.pdf

I follow the tutorial to the end, but on reboot, I get a grub prompt.

    Any ideas?

    so after trying this:
    http://www.zeroshell.net/eng/forum/viewtopic.php?p=2180#2180

    I now get

Probing [1] USB and SATA devices to startup the system

    I did this:

note: I use /dev/hda but be sure you use whatever path corresponds to your hd
    root@zeroshell root> fdisk /dev/sda

On reboot, it got to @decompressing linux… done
    booting the kernel.
    Probing etc….

Kernel panic – not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount roof fs on unkown – block (1,2)

fixed by going into gparted and unmounting the disk first before setting the bootable flag to 1 (rightclick set flags)
