Basically when adding a new 3g modem it’s simply not detected. I’ve read some of the other 3g threads but not found anything that works yet. I am running ZS as a VM on Windows 7. The USB device ID as reported by lsusb, is correct for modem mode as far as I know. Bus 001 Device 010: ID 12d1:14dc Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. This is how it appears on a Ubuntu VM and also on my Raspberry Pi and internet access through it works fine. Ifconfig doesn’t show anything it could be either. Any thoughts? Anyone used this particular 3g usb modem? I should get a chance to try it on another machine in next few days. (Another laptop running ZS live from DVD.) And when I get hold of one, another USB dongle. Thanks for any tips. Author Posts Viewing 1 post (of 1 total) You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
