I have been trying to get mod_ldap_auth working in apache2 today and realized after a bit of debugging that it looks for the userPassword attribute in LDAP, which I understand to be the RFC standard (i may be wrong) – but the LDAP database setup in zeroshell does not use this attribute. I cannot find a way to specify the password attribute in apache so i ask you if this can be implemented on the zeroshell side?

    Thanks,

Zeroshell uses LDAP only for authorization and not for authentication.
The authentication is managed by Kerberos 5.

Could you use mod_auth_kerb instead of mod_ldap_auth?
You should have the possibility to autenticate the web pages not only with username and password (Basic authentication), but also with SPNEGO/GSSAPI if your browser support it.
