    Hi All,

How do I compile a network card driver??

I donwloaded the source for the drivers of my lan card from the vendor (Atheros AR8131 arl1e-x.x.x.x.tar.gz)

    but when I try

    make install

    I get the following

    make -C ./src/ install
    make[1]: Entering directory `/mnt/d/src’
Makefile:61: *** Linux kernel source not found. Stop.
    make[1]: Leaving directory `/mnt/d/src’
    make: *** [install] Error 2

    Thanks for your help.

If you still need this driver, i’ve managed to compile it and i can send it to you.

I also can not get this driver to work. If not hard and send me a working version.

You can grab the developer image on here, and follow my instructions on how to compile a driver from source…

once done, you can save the driver to a flash drive or ftp it somewhere, and put it on your production server. I tried to make the commands as detailed as possible.
