I’m trying to do a HDD install on a VMware server 2.0 to no avail, i’ve followed hte instructions on the PDF and done a search on this forum but whenever i try to boot i get the loader looking for sata and usb devices and then a kernel panic 1,2

the only difference is that vmware uses a scsi controller so the drive is seen as SDA, but fdisk sees it, and gunzip finished.

    any ideas?

i’ve followed the PDF, the http://www.zeroshell.net/eng/forum/viewtopic.php?p=2180#2180 and the http://www.zeroshell.net/eng/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1939 threads to no avail

more test, no go… a curiosity is that vmware makes the disks with 2048 cylinders…

solved, i deleted and then recreated the HD on vmware, but this time i chose IDE0 as the node instead of the SCSI controller, it works perfectly now
