    Hi All,

I’m interested in setting up a Lan-to-Lan connection between two offices and am wondering what the bandwidth requirements to do this would be. What would be a minumum upload/download speed for the connections to do this? Users at one site would be in constant contact with an application (SQL) server at the other site, other than that both sites will have their own domain servers, printers, etc.

    Thanks in advance.

There is no bandwidth requirement to set up a vpn link. You need to check what are your applications’ requirements, if any, and the tolerance to delays.

SQL yikes! I’ve personally seen database transfers consume/exceed a full E1 2.0mb connection so the question to you would be how much bandwidth will you need?

Zeroshell is only as good as the components it runs on and the ISP uplink on the WAN interface. This would not be a zeroshell limitation it’s a hardware/ISP bandwidth limitation when it comes to pushing your vpn to the extreme.
