I use a strong password containing special characters like &#@!. When adding a host, it fails with a errormessage:
ERROR: sh: xxxxxxxx: command not found while adding “cn=Test.test,ou=Computers,dc=lan,dc=toto”
At the position of ‘xxxxxxxx’ the errormessage contains a large part of the password. In my opinion, logging parts of the passwort within the error message is some kind of security issue.
In some very old posts on this forum, I already found this issue described and learned that the problem is caused by the ‘&’ character in the password. But I would really like to keep my password.
It would be nice if you could fix it.
