When I bought an Alix embedded board and it only came with a 512MB CF card, and I have no hardware which uses such large cards, everything I have uses smaller SD cards. Anyhow, I know there are linux tools out there that can shrink/re-size image files, I’m wondering if you can make a 512MB version available for download as I’m not quite familiar with the resizing process. Thanks!

I have just got my hands on the same board.
512MB CF card, now its a 4GB LEXAR (the only one the shop had and I was in a hurry)
    1) erased the FAT32 partition on the disk (windows diskpart)
    2) use physicaldiskwrite to load the 1GB cf card image onto flash – ok 3gb of unused space but I can partition that off later.
    3) Done 😀
